In an effort to achieve full vehicle application coverage, Carter offers high pressure gasoline direct injection (GDI) fuel pumps for increased fuel economy with a higher degree of power output.

The GDI fuel pump is located outside the fuel tank and operates, as necessary, to complement the primary fuel pump.

As a complement to the primary in-tank fuel pump, the GDI offering ensures the vehicle is performing at maximum levels by better controlling the amount of fuel and injection timings that vary according to engine load. An integrated flow control valve and integrated over-pressure relief valve are included for precise fuel control, while the pump also features high flow capability for larger engine applications.

Additionally, the high pressure fuel pump delivers operating pressures from 500-2,900 PSI to accommodate various vehicle designs.

Universal Fuel Pumps

Carter’s universal electric fuel pumps are available in a variety of designs including rotary vane, Carter Caroter and solenoid to accommodate most domestic and imported passenger cars, trucks, marine and industrial engines.

Mechanical Fuel Pumps

Carter’s first generation mechanical fuel pumps are available for most domestic and imported passenger cars, trucks, marine and industrial engines. These pumps are offered in die-cast and billet aluminum as well as stamped steel to accommodate various needs on the road.

Fuel Pump Assemblies

In response to a growing need in the automotive industry, Carter offers fuel pump assemblies for vehicles with pressures between 45-60 PSI.
